Relighting your photos can be tricky but PortraitPro makes it so easy.
Check out the tutorials below to see some of the lighting looks you can achieve.
Low Lighting TutorialTo get the low light look for your images, click on the Picture tab.
Exposure – up high
Brightness – a little up
Smart Contrast – down to around -60
Vibrance – a little up
Vignette – Click the arrow so you can see all the options. For these play around to get it right. You want to make sure it keep the face light whilst creating a gradual darkness to the rest of the image.
Click on the Skin Lighting and Coloring tab. Move and resize the lighting disk to get the look of low lighting.
The Low Light Look is now done, all you need to do is save your image and save this as a Snapshot incase you want to go back.
High Light Tutorial
For high light look you need to have a high brightness so the first step is to click on the Skin Lighting and Coloring tab, widen the Lighting Disk and move so that it hits the face on the side.Next under the Picture tab:
Reduce the Temperature just a little.
Increase the Brightness.
Turn the Vignette on just slightly and move the Radius slider about half way.
Your High Light Look is now ready to be saved.
Noir Lighting Tutorial
Click the Presets tab and go down to Picture. Select Black and White 4.Click the Custom Tab at the top and go down to the picture tab.
Reduce the Exposure a little.
Reduce the Smart Contrast.
Reduce the Tone Curve a little.
Increase the Vignette slider nearly all the way up and the Radius slider about half way.
Increase the Hardness nearly all the way up, to about 80.
