It’s time for Turkey dinners, family fun, and celebrations. It’s a busy time of year, and it’s important to take time to stop and remember what you’re thankful for.

We’re thankful for all of our users, and their feedback on what they like about PortraitPro.  We introduced in version 15, the feature most requested by photographers, the new makeup tools. Without our customer’s feedback we wouldn’t know what they wanted, and we really do listen!

We’re thankful for all our staff, working tirelessly to develop new tools to make sure that they’re the best that they can be, or to answer all of your customer support questions and help you to get your work done faster and easier than ever before, leaving you plenty of time to spend with your loved ones this Holiday.

We’re thankful for our ever- growing social media community, over 340,000 fans on Facebook, and our Twitter, Pinterest and Google+ pages.

We’re thankful for all the journalists and reviewers who have so much enthusiasm for PortraitPro and continue to review our new features and tell you what they think of our software.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our fans and friends.

PortraitPro 15 Out now

Upgrading to the latest PortraitPro!

Long term users of PortraitPro will be really excited to see our recent new version 15 is out now.

If you’ve used Portrait Pro for years and you’re ready to upgrade to the latest and greatest version of your portrait editing software, then you may have misplaced your original license token.  We get it! We understand that it’s hard to keep track of everything these days, and that’s why we make it super easy for you to find your license token.

It’s called the License Manager, and it knows everything!  If you don’t have your license token, you can retrieve it by entering the email address you used when making your purchase. If you need to update your email address with us, the way to do this is by contacting our support team.

Upgrade PortraitPro

Alternatively, you can go to Help and Check for Updates within your current version.  It will also take you to the page with appropriate upgrades for your current version.

When you purchase an upgrade, you’ll receive an upgrade token, beginning with a U.  You need to use this token, to change your existing license from what you already had, to the new version you want.

Here are the instructions to complete your upgrade:

  1. Go the license manager page for your upgrade http://www.portraitprofessional.com/licenses/view/?t=UPX-XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX
  2. Enter the activation token of the license you would like to upgrade from PLX-XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX
  3. On the next page you will see your new license details and the download links for your next software. Let us know if you need any further assistance.

The new PLS or PLM code that is generated on this page is the new license code you need to use to activate your new software.

We often recommend when upgrading, that it’s best to do a full fresh reinstall of the software.  Removing any older files and reinstalling all your new files for your new software can make sure that your new software continues to run smoothly.

If you have any problems, the best way to get in touch is to contact our Customer Support Team, by opening a Support Ticket here.

Haven’t got PortraitPro yet?  Get it here.   Or upgrade your existing license by going to the License Manager.

Creating Custom Presets in PortraitPro 15

PortraitPro 15 comes pre-loaded with dozens of presets to help you create a wide variety of looks quickly and easily.  These are perfect for quick touch-ups or beginner users, but what do you do if the default presets don’t suit your editing style or you’re ready to move into more advanced retouching?

What is a custom preset?

A custom preset is built using your own editing preferences and saved to the presets menu for easy access.

How do I create my own preset?

1. Open an image and edit it using the sliders of your choice.
2. Click ‘Save Preset’ at the top of the presets menu.
3. Choose a name for your preset and decide if you want to set it as the default for male, female or child subjects.
4. Click ‘Ok’ to store the preset.

How do I use custom presets?

Once saved, you can apply a custom preset by clicking on it in the presets menu, by selecting it as your default or by choosing it as the preset for your batch processing.

Do I have to use all of the sliders?

No, custom presets can be created using as many or as few sliders as you’d like. For example, you may want to create different makeup looks or lighting states that can then be applied to any image on top of the existing edits. Click ‘Select Sliders to Save’ to choose which sliders should be affected.Select Sliders copy
